Wooster Selected for 2026 NFL Draft Procurement Program
When the 2026 NFL Draft arrives in Pittsburgh next April, the national spotlight will shine on the city’s North Shore — and Wooster & Associates will be right in the middle of the action.
Wooster & Associates is proud to be among 165+ local businesses selected for the NFL Draft Source Procurement Program, a partnership between the National Football League, VisitPITTSBURGH, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. This program is designed to connect regional, event-ready businesses to the subcontracting and planning needs of one of the largest events in Pittsburgh’s history.
A Front-Row Seat on the North Shore
The Draft’s main footprint will unfold across the North Shore and Downtown Pittsburgh, transforming the area around Acrisure Stadium and the Allegheny Riverfront into a three-day festival of sports, community, and culture.
For Wooster & Associates, headquartered just blocks away on the North Shore, the connection feels natural.
“This is our home turf,” said Jerrod Crosby, Chief Operating Officer at Wooster & Associates. “From our office windows, we can see Acrisure Stadium. To be part of the NFL Draft effort right here in our neighborhood — it’s something special. Our team has deep experience in traffic management, site logistics, and infrastructure planning, and we’re proud to bring that expertise to an event that will energize the entire region.”
Located near Mazeroski Way and West General Robinson Street, the firm’s North Shore office sits within the same corridor that will host NFL Draft events, fan zones, and live broadcasts next April 23–25. With an estimated 750,000 visitors expected to attend, effective transportation planning, public access, and site coordination will be essential — areas where Wooster’s team excels.
Engineering Pittsburgh’s Biggest Weekend
The 2026 NFL Draft Source Program was created to ensure that the excitement of the Draft extends beyond the stadium and benefits the local economy. From construction and logistics to creative, catering, traffic, and event production services, the NFL is tapping into Pittsburgh’s diverse and highly capable business community.
“The NFL recognizes that our small and local businesses are really the backbone of the local economy,” said Myisha Boyce, program lead for the 2026 Draft Source initiative. “We’re bringing in as many local, event-ready businesses as possible to make sure this event reflects the best of Pittsburgh.”
Over 1,800 businesses from 10 Western Pennsylvania counties applied for the program, which was narrowed down to the final 165 through a competitive selection process.
As part of that group, Wooster joins a select network of companies helping shape Pittsburgh’s infrastructure, experience, and operational success during the Draft.
Connecting Local Expertise With a Global Stage
Participation in the Draft Source Program also opens doors for local businesses to network directly with NFL Tier One suppliers, production teams, and prime contractors. These relationships not only support the Draft itself but can create ongoing opportunities that benefit the region well after the event.
“This is a great opportunity to take part in one of the biggest events that Pittsburgh has ever hosted,” said Derek Dawson of VisitPITTSBURGH. “We want this program to live on beyond the Draft — to build stronger, more connected local businesses.”
Wooster & Associates shares that same long-term vision. The firm has supported development and mobility initiatives across the North Shore — from commercial sites and university projects to retail, healthcare, and recreation developments that keep Pittsburgh’s riverfronts vibrant and accessible.
“Being part of this program aligns perfectly with our mission,” said Julio Releon, Director of Business Development and Marketing. “Wooster has always believed in building community through smart engineering — and there’s no better example than helping Pittsburgh host an event that brings hundreds of thousands of people together in our own backyard.”
