Wooster Presents Smarter Traffic Solutions at Café Sci

Jerrod Crosby • October 1, 2025

Join us at the Kamin Science Center on October 6 for a free public talk.

If you’ve ever been stuck in traffic on the Parkway (and who hasn’t?), you’ve probably wondered: Why is Pittsburgh traffic the way it is?

On Monday, October 6 at 7:00 PM, Wooster & Associates will help answer that question at Café Sci, the Kamin Science Center’s monthly science talk series on the North Shore.

Our very own Jerrod Crosby, PE and Josh Haydo, PE, PTOE will take the mic for “Solving Pittsburgh’s Traffic Challenges with Smarter Engineering.” Expect real talk about Pittsburgh’s quirky roads, bridges, and bottlenecks — and how smarter design can make our daily commutes safer, smoother, and maybe even a little less stressful.

“Traffic is part of Pittsburgh’s daily story,” says Jerrod. “We’re excited to share how traffic engineers study these challenges and turn them into solutions that benefit everyone.”

We can’t wait to see you there — and yes, we’ll even talk about why it feels like you always hit a red light in Squirrel Hill.
