Municipal Services

Municipal engineering includes all of the civil engineering services required to address the complex transportation system infrastructure and land use issues facing municipal government. Serving as the traffic consultant to municipalities, David E. Wooster and Associates, Inc. reviews and assists with traffic operations associated with land development, recreational, and local traffic (signals, signs, pavement markings, temporary traffic control, ordinance, policy and code compliance, etc.) projects. While preserving the infrastructure of communities, David E. Wooster and Associates works with the municipalities to improve the quality of life enjoyed and expected by its residents. This common goal is achieved by providing the traffic engineering solutions necessary to develop projects ranging from small subdivisions to major commercial retail centers, elevating only sound economic development within the municipality.

David E. Wooster has also assisted municipalities in applying for and obtaining planning and development funds from federal and state agencies. Recently the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has carved out funds from its 2009 Transportation Improvement Program to implement local land use decisions in support of Smart Transportation principles. Several applications were completed and administered through the local municipalities.
